Program Director:                                                                  Art DeVos

Art came to Krislund in April of 2009 from Iowa with an impressive resume in youth ministries and Christian camping including four years as the Executive Site Director for a camp and retreat center in SE Iowa. Most recently, he served as Director of Youth and Worship for a church in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.  He has a decade of experience in camping ministries with skills in counseling, recruiting, training seasonal staff, creating summer programs, leading worship and hosting retreat groups.  Although not an ordained minister, Art believes that he has been called into a life of ministry and service through camping.

Among his many certifications are High Ropes Instructor, First Responder (with CPR), Fire Fighter 1, Assistant Wrangler (AAHS), Lifeguard and Level 1 Archer (NAA).  He has also been active as a praise team guitarist and high school basketball coach.

Art and his wife Pam, a former teacher, enjoy living at Krislund with their two sons, Ashton (5) and Hudson (2).

Food Service Manager / Outdoor Education Co-Director: Pam DeVos

Pam has played an active role alongside Art in the camping ministry since their marriage in 2002.  Pam graduated with an Elementary Education degree and taught in Houston, Texas until God led their family into the camping ministry.  Pam held a certification in Food Preparation through the Serve Safe program and began managing their camp kitchen.

Bringing her knowledge of the kitchen and her passion for education to Krislund, Pam has immediately made a great impact in our program.  She not only delivers great quality in her food but brings exceptional service and organization.

Outdoor Education Co-Director / Head Cook:            Heather Anderson

Heather also comes to Krislund via Iowa.  While attending college, Heather was hired to work for Art at his previous camp.  She served one year as a counselor and moved into the food service program with Pam the following year.  Heather, also a certified teacher, taught for one year before coming to Krislund for the summer season to again work with Pam in the kitchen.  Upon development of the new Outdoor Education Program at Krislund, Heather was asked to stay on board.

Heather brings a bright and cheerful personality to Krislund and has a great love for working with children and the outdoors.  Her attention to detail matches well with Pam and together they make a fantastic team who love to serve.
