Program Director: Art DeVos
Art came to Krislund in April of 2009 from Iowa with an impressive resume in youth ministries and Christian camping including four years as the Executive Site Director for a camp and retreat center in SE Iowa. Most recently, he served as Director of Youth and Worship for a church in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. He has a decade of experience in camping ministries with skills in counseling, recruiting, training seasonal staff, creating summer programs, leading worship and hosting retreat groups. Although not an ordained minister, Art believes that he has been called into a life of ministry and service through camping.
Among his many certifications are High Ropes Instructor, First Responder (with CPR), Fire Fighter 1, Assistant Wrangler (AAHS), Lifeguard and Level 1 Archer (NAA). He has also been active as a praise team guitarist and high school basketball coach.
Art and his wife Pam, a former teacher, enjoy living at Krislund with their two sons, Ashton (7) and Hudson (3).

Pam has played an active role alongside Art in the camping ministry since their marriage in 2002. Bringing her knowledge of the kitchen and her passion for education to Krislund, Pam has immediately made a great impact in our program. She not only delivers great quality in her food but brings exceptional service and organization.
